Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Our clinicians may use an AI note taker, to write their clinical notes. This means:
- More time in your consultation to talk about your health
- More accurate and detailed notes on your health record
- Consistency across our clinical team, so you have seamless care whoever you need to see
How does it work?
Our AI tools help write out consultation notes and support our clinicians to document important details during your visit. This helps ensure your health records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
Consultation conversations are written out at the same time as they happen. No recordings are ever stored. Notes that a clinician saves from the consultation will be added to your Electronic Health Record in our Practice Management System, exactly the same as they are now.
Our AI does not make any medical decisions. The notes are always checked by our clinician for accuracy and completeness prior to be added to your Electronic Health Record.
Do I have to agree?
All our clinicians must obtain your consent before using our AI. You can withdraw your consent at the time or at any time by contacting us [link to Contact Us page].
Who has access to my medical information?
Please refer to our Privacy information. Our AI is compliant with the Privacy Act 2020 and the New Zealand Information Privacy Principles. Information Management Systems are ISO27001 accredited for data security.
